The meaning of Tao – using Chuanshan’s explanation of “Study” and “Yong” as the middle room

Abstract: Zhu Shifeng is the most concerned person in Zhu Zi’s postgraduate study of Wang Chuanshan’s “Reading Four Books”. Regarding the interpretation of the “Large of Learning” and “Doing the Mean” included in the “Four Books”, Wang Chuanshan focused on the concepts related to Tao and criticized the nature of the two peaks, using “loyalty and faith is the Tao” to reflect the “Loyalty and faith”; using “The Tao is the Tao beyond loyalty and faith”; using “The Tao is the Tao to lead the nature, and the sincerity is the heart” to evaluate the unity of the two peaks, “The sincerity is the Tao” in batches; analyzing the relationship between knowledge and Tao, human nature and the way of heaven, holy virtue and the holy way, ghosts and gods and Tao, and analyzing the teachings of the two peaks in terms of Taoism such as precepts, caution, and respect. Critical analysis of Chuanshan’s double peaks is traced back to Zhu Xi and Zhu Xi’s learning in the Yuan Dynasty. It reflects the importance of Zhu Xi’s post-school thinking, showing the positive impact of the double peaks on Chuanshan thinking. It expresses that Chuanshan’s learning is also based on the foundation of Zhu Xi’s “Four Books” thinking, and has a strong background in Zhu Xi. The discussion supplemented the lack of comments on Zhu Zi’s postgraduate learning in the focus of “The Complete Talks of Reading Four Books”, which helped to fully and deeply understand the Chuanshan school and master the ideological structure of Zhu Zi’s inheritance and development.

The Big Peak Reading the Four Books Baohua” uses reading notes and comments on the postgraduate learning of Zhu Zi and Zhu Zi in the “Four Books” to express Chuanshan’s thoughts. Despite the current research results of Chuanshan in the academic community, there are few commentators on Zhu Zi’s postgraduate studies who are the main content of “Reading Four Books”. ① In fact, the scholar has repeatedly pointed out that Chuanshan’s “Reading the Four Books” is the important object of Zhu Xi’s postgraduate in the Song and Yuan dynasties. Therefore, he removed the specific analysis of Zhu Xi’s postgraduate in the flesh and blood of Zhu Xi’s postgraduate in the “Reading the Four Books” and would undoubtedly ask if he understood the book and Chuanshan’s thoughts.
To this end, this article introduces a case discussion on “Study” and “Yong” by Chuanshan’s “The Complete Talk of Reading Four Books” to remind Chuanshan of Zhu Zi’s understanding of Zhu Zi’s later studies and meanings. There are two reasons for choosing the double peak as the analytical target: one is the main nature and masking nature of the double peak. The two peaks of Zhu Xi were the best re-edited by Zhu Zi in the Southern Song Dynasty. They learned to be tight in reasoning and think in a new way. They were often different from Zhu Xi’s claims, and they had the meaning of being proactive in the evolution of the confluence of Zhu Xi in the Song and Yuan dynasties. However, because there is no writing circulation, it is something that the ancients suddenly noticed. ③However, it said that the large amount of expenditures in “Four Books” attracted widespread attention from Zhu Zi students in Dongya since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It can be said that Zhu ZiThe core elements in the history of four books. ④The importance level of Chuanshan on both peaks and its influence. Wang Chuanshan’s “The Complete Talk of Reading Four Books” and the double peaks are as high as 120 points, and he is the first of all the students of Zhu Xi. Chuanshan’s comments on Shifeng have many comments and profound analysis, which not only expresses Chuanshan’s own thinking and concepts, but also reveals his differences with Zhu Xi and Zhu Xi’s postgraduate students on the “Four Books”. Chuanshan’s analysis of the explanations of “Large Learning” and “Doctrine of the Mean” of the Double Peak, and the theory of “Tao” was expanded, and it published unique explanations on the topics of loyalty and faith and Tao, sincerity and Tao, knowledge and Tao, human nature and heaven, ghosts and gods, respect and precepts, and caution in practicing Taoism. Chuanshan’s comments on Double Peaks are a model for Zhu Zi’s post-study reviews and criticisms. It not only highlights the ideological characteristics of Double Peaks, but also expresses Chuanshan’s Four Peaks, which is integrated into the verbal lyrics of Zhu Zi’s “Four Books” and has a heavy Taoist background. This also reflects the inheritance and development of Zhu Xi’s postgraduate learning in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a reflection of our deep understanding of the idea and meaning of Chuanshan and Double Peaks, and mastering the development of Zhu Xi’s academic development.
1 The meaning of “Loyalty and faithfulness is Tao” and “there is Tao beyond loyalty and faithfulness”
1. “It” refers to “people” or “Tao”. The interpretation of “Big Learning” is innovative, but only the unique national seal “The righteous people have great ideas, so they are loyal and trustworthy to get the praise of it” has attracted criticism from Chuanshan. Chuanshan’s “zhi” refers to “people” rather than “dao” that is directed by two peaks. Chuanshan believed that Zhu’s note used “heavenly and life and death” to explain the relationship between loyalty and faith and praise, and it was not difficult to understand. Du Feng failed to grasp the meaning of Zhu’s note, but mistakenly understood the two “items” as “Tao”. He said: “The two peaks have long been confused. He said, “The way to be loyal and trustworthy is to obtain goodness, and the way to be calm and eliminate goodness.” He actually said the word “一” to the Tao.” ⑤ In fact, this sentence is clear, but it has not understood what the word “一” refers to. Duofeng believes that “get rid” here corresponds to “get rid” in the first two sections of this chapter, so “Tao” is the “Tao of Consistency”, which allows people to gain the country and the origin of the country. The “good” of “the way of goodness is to obtain it” refers to “loyalty and faithfulness”, which means that loyalty and faith are the way to obtain goodness, and praise is the way to eliminate goodness, so the “it” of “get it and lose it” is interpreted as the “goodness”. Chuanshan pointed out that the double peaks are very popular because they can easily dredge the meaning of the text, and Chuanshan even said it to Wu Youzi. Wu said that Zhang Zhongxin can achieve consistency, so all actions are good and can naturally be favored by people. The opposite is true. This means that the four concepts that appear before and after this chapter are pierced, including loyalty, integrity, goodness, and universality, are just about to explain this: “It’s not bad if you put it in a string.” ⑤There is a difference between this statement and double peaks in terms of expression. Wu said that it is reversed, and the double peaks are smooth in the order of text, and the logical order is very clear and consistent with the text. Chuanshan is not as full as the peaks and regards “things” as “Tao” rather than “popularity”. He then attacked the “Three Gets to Failure” in this chapter, and then you will get the world and get the country, you will get the bad things you will get, and you will get the good things you will get, and you will get the good things you will get with your loyalty and faithfulness. He said: “If you talk about the fall, you will have to ‘get the whole country’ and ‘get the whole country’ before you can say ‘get it’ and ‘get it’.” ⑤ Chuanshan believed that the three parts “get it away公司” said that the final result of the first appearance of this festival is “get it away, and ‘get it away’, and ‘get it away’, which can only be said to get it away, so “it” means “it”.
