Abstract: The theoretical dimensions related to Confucianism and medicine are very rich. The basis of Confucian medicine can enrich the diversity of “medical” theory and the selection of related treatment plans, and at the same time it can also help to expand the concept of Confucianism’s self-cultivation theory. Confucius focused on the development of the body and inner order through moral cultivation and gift training, and reminded Confucianism of the unique luminosity of the body and the body’s health treatment. Chinese medicine emphasizes that “righteous spirit remains inside, evil cannot be done” as the general theory of physical health and maintenance. What Mencius calls “high and righteous spirit” highlights another theoretical dimension that “righteous spirit” should have. Confucian education promotes the realization of the emotions and connotations of the body and mind. Their thinking can also be understood from the perspective of the meaning of Confucianism, or it may be said that Confucianism itself is a medicine.
